The Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation today announced QTS Data Centers (QTS), a global leader in digital infrastructure, as a title partner of the future Northern Virginia Science Center, supported by a $1 million gift to the Launch the Future campaign. This significant gift supports learners of all ages and helps build a diverse STEM workforce pipeline in Northern Virginia and beyond.

As title partner, QTS is expanding access to hands-on learning opportunities that support workforce development and inspire future STEM careers. QTS's gift will be recognized through sponsorship of The Cloud exhibit and Studio II in the May Innovation Center. The Cloud is an artistic representation of the very basics of digital computing, an overhead installation that visually reacts to guests’ cell phone signals. Studio II will host dynamic, community-focused programming, including school field trips, camps and lifelong learning opportunities. QTS has a significant presence in Northern Virginia, home to one of the world's largest digital infrastructure ecosystems.

The Northern Virginia Science Center, located in the Kincora Development off Route 28 in Sterling, is currently under construction with an anticipated opening in mid-2027. This world-class science center will be a part of the Science Museum of Virginia’s statewide network, with additional locations in Richmond and Danville.
